Lavasa celebrated the spirit of Independence

Lavasa celebrated the spirit of independence with great gusto as more than 35,000 visitors landed in the city to celebrate Freedom 2015. Spread over 2 days with an eclectic mix of musical and dance performances with amazing shopping and interesting food.
Celebrations started with flag hoisting at Lavasa Public Safety Centre, as people thronged to witness the National Flag being unfurled.
 
Lavasa promenade was buzzing throughout the day with action. There was great food as the hotels and restaurants had created special Independence Day menu. Shopaholics had a great time as the flea market offered variety of apparels, curios and knick knacks to choose from.
 
The best part of the event was the Lavasa weather. With flowing waterfalls, greenery around and monsoon playing hide and seek revelers were seen busy soaking into the weather and also indulging into their favorite pastime – taking selfies. Additionally, there were plenty of games, treasure hunts and prizes.
 
The adventurous ones, enjoyed jetovator and hovercrafts at the Lakeshore Watersports and waterfall rappelling at the X-Thrill adventure academy.
 
Evening saw Panchee band enthralling the crowd with the patriotic songs, and amazing dance performances at the LICC promenade.
 
Next day, Indian Idol finalist and winner of the UK season Harshi Mad, gave a captivating performances as the audiences swayed to the tunes of some of the latest tracks. Festival ended with DJ Rink churning out some latest blockbusters.
