As a responsible corporate citizen Lavasa has taken steps to increase the literacy rate. Efforts include a
well-equipped school that has been handed over to the Zilla Parishad. To equip these schools, Lavasa has also instituted a teachers' development program with the Government of Maharashtra. |

Furthermore, Lavasa has also taken it upon itself to distribute uniforms. Other initiatives include conducting Personality Development Activities and Aptitude Tests for students. |

As this region is away from the light of urbanization, Lavasa has organized a superstition eradication campaign to uplift the village society and to battle widespread superstitions. |

As a step towards integrating the villagers with nature and sustainability and empowering them to manage the natural resources at their disposal in a better way, the Nisarg Shala concept has been introduced to empower the locals to managing the natural resources at their disposal in a better way. |
