The course focuses on the tightly connected issues of airport and airline development. The course leaders have designed it to cover the issues that are especially important to India today, as the country faces rapid changes in the levels of traffic, the growth of private sector airlines and airports, and the requirements of government authorities. The presentations will particularly cover the issues associated with the planning, design and development of airport infrastructure and airline services in the face of uncertainties and change, particularly as seen from the Indian perspective. The course content includes coverage of air traffic control, airport capacity, fundamentals of airline economics, planning and operations, the design of terminals, forecasting of traffic, as well as emerging trends in airport development and airline industry performance.
 
The programme would touch upon topics such as:
The issue of ‘Metropolitan multi-airport systems’ (more than one airport serving a city)
Low cost / private India-based airlines going international

Senior management professionals associated with the planning, design and development of airport infrastructure and airline services who wish to learn key principles and best practices of the industry from the Indian perspective. That is, professionals from airline industry, infrastructure, airport planning and operations, airport development and management, architects and designers. The programme also invites participants from consultancy firms and investment banks with a focus on the airport and airline sector.
