Sir Nick Faldo visited Lavasa on November 12, 2009 for finalizing designs of its first Golf Course and Academy in the country. The Golf Academy, spread over 20 acres, is slated to be operational in 2011. The 150 acre, 18 hole golf course is expected to be ready by 2013.

Faldo is excited about the project and has plans to make it a top-level tournament destination.

The press conference was followed by a party hosted by Mr Ajist Gulabchand at Lavasa’s prestigious Dasvino Town and Country club in Faldo’s honour over the weekend. The elegantly planned and meticulously managed Dasvino Town and Country Club is all set to take you to a world where luxury pampers you at every single step.
